Message Types

There are several types of Message:

  • [Notice]: it is a general type of Message. intraComm send a Message to other Users like posting a notice
  • [Reply]: it replies a Message. It places normally under the Message replied and with Private Tag: ←
  • [Forward]: it forwards a Message. It places normally under the Message forwarded and with Private Tag: →
  • [Folder]: it stresses the classification of Message, likes folder/directory in file system. Its Content can be modified with wiki format
  • [Task]: in general, this Message describes a Task. It has a Due Date to tell the Recipients to submit a [Task Report] in time.

Remark: [Task] vs Task
[Task] is a Message Type described as above
Task is a task related to the [Task] Message
It is similar to [Event] and Event 

  • [Event]: in general, this Message describes an Event. It has a Remind Date to remind the Event starts from Start Date to End Date.
  • [Calendar]: it likes [Event], also has Start Date and End Date, but no Remind Date, ie it would NOT remind the Recipients
  • [Project]: it just like a [Notice], tell us the Message talking about a project
  • [Email]: it may be:
    a Message received from outside email (the Author is an email address) or
    a Message send from us that all Recipients are emails
  • [Form]: it is a special format of Message, has pre-defined specific format and approval process
  • [IM]: it is used to call a discussion by instant message at Memo
  • [wiki Doc]: its Content can be modified with wiki format
  • [Doc]: it stresses its Content can NOT be modified with wiki format. This Notice Type can NOT be changed
  • [System]: this Message is send by System
  • [Task Report]: it is a special [Form] used to reply the [Task]
  • [Support]: it is a Message from Live Support
