Recipient Group

What is a Recipient Group?

Recipient Group is very useful and convenient when Users want to send a Message to multiple Users. It is used to classify Users so that Users can select a Recipient Group rahter than selecting Users one by one. Users can also share the Recipient Group to other Users.

 

Create/Modify a Recipient Group

Users can enter Recipient Group by User Admin > Recipient Group.

Before the tutorial, let's introduce the attributes of a Recipient Group.

Record#
-- the record number of the Recipient Group; for database reference only
 
Title
-- the name of the Recipient Group
 
Description
-- the description of the Recipient Group
 
Owner
-- the creator of the Recipient Group
 
Share
-- shows whether the Recipient Group can be shared and whom to share
 
Subordinate Set
-- all users under this suborindate set will be included; for example, if you set the value to be Central Dept, all users under the Central Department will be included in the Recipient Group
 
Dept Set
-- similar to subordinate set, all users under this department(s) will be included in the Recipient Group
 
Position Set
-- similar to subordinate set, all users at this position(s) will be included in the Recipient Group
 
Include Users
-- you can specify certain user(s) to be included in the Recipient Group
 
Exclude Users
-- you can specify certain user(s) to be excluded in the Recipient Group
 
Outer Email Set
-- you can include any external e-mail in the Recipient Group
 
Date Chop
-- the creation date of the Recipient Group
 
Remark (HTML)
-- a remark field of the Recipient Group; you may insert HTML into it
 
 

Users can click Create/Modify by clicking the large buttons. Only the Owner of the Recipient Group is allowed to modify the Recipient Group.

Besides adding Users to a Recipient Group, external parties can also be added by typing the email address or selecting from Contact. To add an email address, Users can right click Outer Email Set field, then click Input data(key-in). To select an existing Contact, Users can right click Outer Email Set field, then click Input data(select).

When creating or modifying a Recipient Group, Users can share the Group with other Users. Description can be added so that it is easier for other Users to use the Group.

 

Send Message to a Recipient Group

When composing a Message, Users can set the Recipient Group as the Recipient by right clicking the Recipient field and choosing Input data(select).
